ETL

 This U.S. organization is one of the most recognized certifiers for testing electrical, mechanical and electromechanical products. ETL Testing Laboratories indicates that the product has been tested and has met the minimum requirements of widely recognized product safety standards in the United States, that the manufacturing site has been audited and that the applicant has agreed to a periodic monitoring program.

UL

OHSAS

 This organization refers to occupational health and safety management systems, established by the British Standards Institution (BSI). OHSAS 18001 is aimed at organisations committed to the safety of their employees and the workplace.

ABS

This organization is a global leader in quality management system certifications and training for a variety of industries and sectors around the world. Its assessments help clients minimise risk, improve operational efficiency and maximise performance.

IEC

 This organization develops and publishes standards for electrical, electronic and related technologies. It standardises the broad sphere of electrotechnology, from the area of electrical power to the areas of electronics, communications, nuclear energy conversion and the transformation of solar energy into electrical energy.

ISA

 This organization sets standards and educates professionals in the automation industry. On the basis that instrumentation and automation are some of the key technologies involved in manufacturing in almost all industrialised countries. Instrumentation provides the regulation of these complex systems using different measurement and control devices.

NRF

 The NRF standards establish requirements and criteria for all types of systems used in the different industrial or administrative areas of PEMEX. For example, NRF 051-PEMEX-2011, establishes requirements and criteria for designing air conditioning systems for cooling or heating, how to specify equipment and materials, as well as filtration, pressurisation and mechanical ventilation.

NFPA​

NFPA standards are established by an organization in the United States in charge of creating and maintaining minimum standards and requirements for fire prevention, training, installation and use of fire protection means, used by both firefighters and security personnel. Its standards, known as the National Fire Codes, recommend safe practices developed by expert fire control professionals.

NEC

 The NEC standards are developed by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), referring to safe electrical equipment and safe electrical installation methods. The National Electrical Code seeks to regulate standards in hazardous areas that make workplaces safe places to work.

CSA

 This Canadian organization develops standards that demonstrate that a product has been tested and certified as meeting recognised safety or performance standards, based on internationally recognised criteria and procedures.

SMACNA

 It creates multiple standards and technical manuals used by the sheet metal industry. They address all aspects of the business, from duct construction and installation to air pollution control, from energy recovery to roofing.
• SMACNA publications cover topics such as construction standards, environmental publications, design guidelines, duct construction, HVAC, Sheet Metal Welding and seismic restraint.

AHRI

 AHRI standards are formed on behalf of manufacturers of refrigeration, air conditioning and heating equipment installed in North America. Currently the AHRI certificate has an international recognition in standards in the certification of the efficiency of HVAC equipment.

BUREAU VERITAS

 It is a global company recognized as a world leader in testing, inspection and certification services, offering solutions to maintain compliance with quality, health, safety, social and environmental standards and regulations.

ASHRAE

 This organization participates in the development of HVACR technology by creating standards, recommending procedures and guidelines, researching and publishing technical articles related to heating, refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation.
